Videos uploaded to Livid can be shared in various ways:
As the video creator:
- By selecting copy link under the video on the video creator page
- From Copy Link on the sharing modal
As the video creator OR users watching your video:
- Directly from the video overlay (provided the share option has not been disabled on the video)
- On the watch page using the share option under the video (provided the share option has not been disabled on the video)
You must ensure your video has the correct visibility settings applied in order for sharing to work. This is set on the Sharing overlay:
Here are the options available and their outcomes:
Setting | Outcome |
Private | Only you can see the video |
Public | Anyone the link is shared with can watch the video. Search engines will also index the page, making it discoverable. |
Unlisted (Pro plan only) | Anyone the link is shared with can watch the video. Search engines will not know about the page. |
Password (Pro plan only) | Anyone accessing the link will need to know the password to watch the video. You will need to share the password separately. |
