Do I need a Livid account to use LOVE?
Nope! You can use LOVE to download to your computer or export to Google Drive without a Livid account.
Is it actually one-click?
realistically no. However, once you’ve selected all the videos you want, it is only one click to kick off that export/download! On a clicks/video ratio, I think we still come out on top vs doing it manually…unless you only have one video, in which case why are you even using LOVE? 🙂
Does it really keep my folder structure?
Yup. As long as you’re exporting into Livid we’ll retain your folder structure.
How do you deal with multiple teams and shared videos?
If you belong to more than one team we’ll first ask you to chose which team you want to export from. Within that team if you also have videos that are shared with you and in your own personal library then we can export those too. If you’re transferring to Livid we’ll keep each of these libraries separate by putting them in top level folders.
What about my video titles and descriptions?
LOVE retains both titles and descriptions when transferring to Livid. Only title is retained when downloading or moving to Google Drive.
What operating systems are support?
PC, Mac (intel and ARM) and Linux.
What’s the catch? Why is it 100% free?
No catch. Downloading or exporting is 100% free. We honestly just want to give people a chance to get control of their Vimeo library. Of course we’d love for you to sign up to Livid too, but if all you want is to download your videos that’s totally fine.
Do you maintain the privacy of my videos when you export them?
If you’re downloading them or moving to Google Drive then all your videos will be private. If you transfer to Livid, we will maintain the privacy setting you had on the video. That’s one less job to do when migrating to Livid!
Are videos moved or copied?
Videos are copied and not moved. LOVE does not alter anything on your Vimeo account.
Why am I being asked to verify my age when logging in to Vimeo via the LOVE app?
Ah you must be in the UK or parts of the EU! This is Vimeo’s new verification system run by Persona. You will need to complete this step in order to access your videos. It has nothing to do with Livid or LOVE directly.
If you’d rather do this in a browser, you can also complete this step by simply logging into Vimeo.
