How storage is counted on Livid
Livid counts storage by the size of the files you upload, and nothing more. Here's how much each plan includes and what happens when you reach your limit.
Your storage is based on the size of the files you upload. Upload a 10GB file and it uses 10GB of your storage.
How much storage each plan includes
| Plan | Storage |
|---|---|
| Free | 1GB |
| Pro | 2TB |
| Premium | 4TB |
Need more than 4TB? Contact us to discuss a custom plan for your needs.
You only pay for what you upload
To make sure your videos play smoothly on any screen or connection, we create several quality versions of each one. Those extra versions are on us. They never count toward your storage.
Quick math
1TB is roughly 1,000,000MB. So if your videos are around 140MB each, 1TB holds about 7,000 of them, and a 2TB Pro plan holds about 14,000.
What happens when you reach your limit
Uploads that would take you over your plan's storage won't go through. To make room, you can:
- Delete videos you no longer need
- Upgrade your plan
- Talk to us about a custom plan
👉 Deleting a video frees up its storage. Deleted videos can't be recovered.
FAQs
Is storage the same as bandwidth? No. Storage is how much you keep on Livid. Bandwidth is how much gets streamed or downloaded each month. See Bandwidth and overage explained.
I bought an AppSumo plan. Why is my storage lower than I expected? On AppSumo Tier 2, the 2TB figure is monthly bandwidth. Your storage is 500GB.
What happens to my videos if I downgrade? If you're over the new limit, your account goes into Content Lock for a grace period. See Upgrading, downgrading and what happens to your videos.
