Zoom Integration
Import your Zoom cloud recordings into Livid
Connect your Zoom account to Livid and your Zoom cloud recordings are imported into your library automatically — encoded, stream-able and ready to share, with no downloading or re-uploading.
Before you start
- A paid Livid plan (or an active free trial). The Zoom integration is included on all paid plans.
- A Zoom plan with cloud recording. Livid imports Zoom cloud recordings, which are available on paid Zoom plans. Recordings saved only to your computer (local recordings) can't be imported automatically — you can still upload those manually.
- Connect the meeting host's account. Livid imports recordings of meetings hosted by the connected Zoom account. If several people on your team host meetings, each host can be connected separately.
- Increase the Zoom resolution. By default Zoom cloud recordings have a maximum resolution of 360p. Follow this support article to increase to 720p or 1080p depending on your Zoom plan.
Adding the Zoom integration
- In Livid, go to Settings and find the Integrations section.

- On the Zoom row, click Connect.

- You'll be taken to Zoom to sign in (if you aren't already signed in).
- Review the requested permissions and click Allow. Livid asks for read-only access to your Zoom profile and your cloud recordings — it never modifies or deletes anything in your Zoom account.

- You'll be returned to Livid, and your Zoom account appears in the Integrations section with its display name.

When you connect, Livid creates a folder in your library called Zoom Recordings (your name) and sets it as the destination for imports. You can change this by clicking on the folder name.

To connect additional Zoom accounts (for example, other meeting hosts on your team), click Connect another. Ensure you are already logged into that additional account in Zoom, as it won't let you switch when clicking this button.
Using the Zoom integration
Recording
Nothing changes about how you record. Host your meeting and record it to the cloud as usual. Once Zoom finishes processing the recording, it's imported into Livid automatically, though Zoom's processing time varies with the length of the recording and can take up to 48 hours. We receive it when you get the Zoom email notification.
Each imported video:
- is titled with the meeting topic from Zoom
- keeps the original recording date, so your library sorts naturally
- uses the speaker-with-shared-screen view of the recording where available (falling back to the active-speaker view), so you get the most useful single video per meeting
Imported recordings behave exactly like any other video in Livid: they're encoded for streaming, you can move them, share them, and organise them however you like.
Choosing where recordings are imported
By default, recordings land in the Zoom Recordings (your name) folder. To change this:
- Go to Settings → Integrations.
- Under your connected Zoom account, find Import recordings to and click the folder button.
- Pick any folder in your library and click Save.
If the destination folder is later deleted, new imports go to the top level of your library.
Good to know
- Deleting an imported video is permanent. Livid won't re-import a recording you've deleted.
- Only cloud recordings are imported. Local recordings never leave your computer, so Livid can't see them.
- If your Livid plan lapses, new recordings stop importing until you upgrade. Videos already imported stay in your library.
Removing the Zoom integration
You can disconnect from either side. Either way, videos already imported remain in your Livid library — removing the integration only stops future imports.
From Livid
- Go to Settings → Integrations.
- Next to the connected Zoom account, click Disconnect.
- Confirm in the dialog.
Livid immediately revokes its access to your Zoom account, and new cloud recordings are no longer imported.
From Zoom
You can also remove Livid from your Zoom account directly:
- Sign in to the Zoom App Marketplace.
- Click Manage → Added Apps.
- Find Livid and click Remove.
Zoom notifies Livid the moment you do this. Your connection in Livid's settings will show as disconnected on the Zoom side, and you can either click Remove to clear it or Connect again later to resume importing.
Troubleshooting
A recording didn't import. Check that:
- the recording was made to the cloud, not to a computer
- the meeting was hosted by the connected Zoom account — meetings hosted by a colleague need their own connection
- Zoom has finished processing the recording (you'll have received Zoom's "your cloud recording is ready" email) or you can check the progress at https://zoom.us/recording
- your Livid plan is active
My recordings have a low resolution. By default Zoom cloud recordings have a maximum resolution of 360p. Follow this support article to increase to 720p or 1080p depending on your Zoom plan. This will only apply to new recordings, Zoom doesn't regenerate previous recordings.
The connection shows as disconnected. The app was removed from the Zoom side (or your Zoom admin removed it). Click Connect in Settings → Integrations to reconnect and resume importing.
