Uploading videos

Upload videos to Livid via drag-and-drop or the Upload button; edit details, set thumbnails, and generate transcripts after processing.

You can upload videos to Livid in 2 ways.

  1. On a desktop/laptop you can drag and drop videos into the library. These will be uploaded to the folder you are currently in. You can drag and drop multiple videos at once - they will be queued for upload one after the other.

The upload process

When the upload starts it will be displayed in the upload status queue in the bottom corner as well as in the folder you’re viewing. Whilst the video is upload, please do not refresh your page.

Once the upload is complete your video will begin optimizing. This process looks at creating multiple versions of your video for various screen sizes and bandwidths.

You can access the video whilst this is taking place.

You can begin to add/edit your video Title and Description whilst it’s still processing, or preview player customization options. To save customization options you will need to be on the Pro plan.

See Customizing the player for more details
